Hi Everyone,

I know it has been awhile since I posted my last card.  I haven’t given up card making, quite the opposite, I have been overwhelmed with the production of sympathy cards in the last month.  It appeared that every time I turned around, someone I knew or a loved one of someone else had departed this world.  Dealing with death personally is hard, and the making of a card to show the bereaved that you care can be just as trying.  I found that coming up with the “right” words to express how I felt was sometimes more than I could handle alone.  To all of you that I did not have time to make a birthday card, or get well card or a card of encouragement, please know that you have not been forgotten.

The featured card for this month is a canning jar filled with love.  I was introduced to a card similar to this at a crafting convention I went to in Columbia, SC.  Not only was the convention amazing and filled with ideas to last me years, I was impressed with the workshops that allowed you to sit and make many of the product displayed.  I felt like I had worked an eight hour day after I finished, but it was worth it.
